The morning light sliced through the blinds, a harsh reminder that another day had arrived. Sarah groaned, a sound that seemed to rumble from deep within her chest. She dragged herself out of bed, each movement a monumental effort. Coffee was a necessity, not a luxury. As she shuffled toward the kitchen, the reality of her obligations settled upon her like a lead blanket.
